2017-18 PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Welcome! Coastal Field Hockey Club is looking forward to another successful Winter Training Program!  I hope that you will join me and our incredible coaching staff in continuing your field hockey development, we have the knowledge and resources necessary to put you in the best position to achieve your goals. 

The Coastal FHC staff are among the most highly experienced and knowledgeable in the region. The coaches who work with Coastal FHC athletes are USA Field Hockey certified and have experience in all three NCAA divisions including schools such as Bates, Tufts, Bowdoin, MIT, University of Vermont, University of the Pacific, University of New England, Cedar Crest, and the University of Southern Maine to name a few. In fact, we are the only club in the region to feature a Head Coaching staff compromised 100% of current NCAA collegiate coaches. This staff has amassed over 30 years of NCAA coaching experience, has accumulated NCAA National Championship appearances, NCAA Final Four appearances, conference championships and appearances, and many other accolades that make for one of the finest coaching staffs a club could have. Our Head Coaches are assisted by current NCAA collegiate players from nearly a dozen programs across multiple NCAA divisions, providing numerous positive role models for the athletes in the program.  Simply put, field hockey is not only our passion, it is our profession.

GK Academy (Ages 11 - 18)

Ages:  11-18 (as of 12/31/2017)

Program Length:  December - April

Under 10 (born 2008 - 2010)

Ages:  7 - 9 

Locations Offered:  Saco, ME  -  Auburn, ME  -  Brunswick, ME - Portland, ME

Under 12 (born 2006 - 2007)

Ages:  10-11

Under 14 (Born 2004 - 2005)

Ages:  12-13 

Locations Offered:  Saco, ME  -  Auburn, ME  - Brunswick, ME - Portland, ME

Program Levels Offered:  Academy (Fundamental),  Elite (Advanced), or High Performance Jr. (Highest Level)

Length: December -  March

Evaluation Required:  Yes (First two sessions, then placed into appropriate program level)

NCAA Coaches:  YES

Under 16 (born 2002 - 2003)

Ages:  14-15 

Length:  December - March

Locations Offered:  Saco, ME  -  Auburn, ME 

Program Levels:   Elite or High Performance (Fundamental/Beginner programs are not available for the U16 division)

Evaluation Required:  Yes (First two sessions, then placed into the appropriate program level, Elite or High Performance. Following evaluations, if an athlete is determined to be at the fundamental/beginner level, a full-refund will be issued)

Under 19 (Born 2001 - 2000)

Ages:  16-18 (as of 12/31/2017)

Program Length:  December - April
